    okra, cut up

    water or stock

    salt and pepper to taste

    juice from 1 lemon

How to Make Okra Soup


  1. Okra is a very common thickening agent for African soups and vegetable dishes.
  2. Dice and fry the bacon.
  3. Add all remaining ingredients, bring to a boil and simmer until the okra is tender, about 15 minutes.
