Miss Ann's Vegetable Soup
1 can(s)large V8 Juice (flavor or your choice)
1 pkgLipton onion dry soup mix
1 pkgfrozen vegetables for soup
1 pkgfrozen okra (optional)
1 lbground chuck
1 can(s)8 oz - tomato sauce
·Mrs. Dash seasoning (or brand of your choice)
1 pkgextra-fine noodles (I use Manischewitz yolk free)
How to Make Miss Ann's Vegetable Soup
- Brown meat; drain. Put in a large pot and add the rest of the ingredients except for the noodles. For the seasoning, just use a few shakes. The additional bag of okra is optional. We love it...so we add it!
- Bring to a boil; then simmer for a couple of hours. Or after boiling for a few minutes, I like to transfer it to a crock pot and then either cook it on low for a number of hours, or on high for a couple of hours.
- Approximately 10 minutes before serving, slightly crush up a couple handfuls of the noodles and toss them in. The more you add...the thicker the soup will get. If it gets too thick...just add some water.
- To serve, I offer hot sauce for those who like it spicier, grated cheese of your choice and sour cream. It is wonderful served with corn bread or muffins...or a crusty whole grain!
