My family devours this recipe. Especially on cold days. We usually each eat 2 large bowls each. It has so much flavor!!

Ingredients

  • 2 bunches Kale
  • 1 - ring of beef keilbasa
  • 3 tablespoons Dehydrated onion
  • 4 - chicken boullion cubes
  • 2 - large potatoes
  • 1/2 cup quick cooking barley
  • 1 - water to cover

How To Make kale soup

  • Step 1
    Cut keilbasa into rounds, then in 1/4ths. Wash and chop two bunches of Kale. Put all in big pot with onion, boullion cubes and water. Slow cook on stove 3 hours. You may have to add water to keep broth and to finish cooking Kale. At 3 hour mark wash and peel potatoes. Cut into small cubes and add to pot. Lastly add quick cooking barley. Let cook another 1/2 hour. Serve up in bowls. Makes approximately 10 large bowls of soup.
