kale

potatoes, peeled
potato cooking water, drained from cooking the potatoes

onions, chopped
1 lb
chourico, sliced (portuguese sausage)
salt and pepper, to taste

How to Make Kale Soup

Step-by-Step

  • 1Wash kale well and cut up into very small pieces.
  • 2Parboil potatoes in enough water to cover. Cube.
  • 3Add kale, onions, and chourico. Let simmer for an hour or longer, adding more water as necessary.
  • 4Season with salt and pepper.
