Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion diced
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tablespoon each ginger and garlic paste
- 2 teaspoons garam masala
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon indian chili powder such as kashmiri
- 28 ounces can tomato sauce
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
- salt and pepper
- naan for serving
How To Make indian inspired tomato soup

Step 1Place olive oil in a medium pot. Add the onion and cook until softened. Add the ginger and garlic paste. Add the seasonings and brown sugar. Stir well drop in the bay leaves and add the tomato sauce. Cook for 5 minutes. Stir in the heavy cream and cook 2 more minutes. If too thick add a little water. Remove bay leaves and taste and adjust for salt and pepper.
