I have made this for years, And keep changing it. No one has told me it has no flavor. Sometimes if I have it I add ham cubes. Then not add as much salt.

Ingredients
- 5 pounds of potatoes
- 4 stalks stalks of celery
- 1 large onion
- 1-2 package instant potatoes (betty crocker butter herb)
- 6 slices strips of bacon
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cups milk, whole
- - salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 package sherreded carrots
- 1 package diced ham
How To Make homemade potato soup.

Step 1Peel and cube the potatoes Put the pot on to boil. Use a stock pot.

Step 2In frying pan sautee onions, celery,carrots and bacon and diced ham. Add this mixture to the boiling potatoes.

Step 3Mash the potatoes in same pot as cooked in. Leaving some chuncks.

Step 4Add butter and milk. salt and pepper. Then stir in Instant potatoes to thicken.
