Ingredients
- 3.5 cups water, boiling
- 2 - chicken bouillon cubes
- 16 ounces tomatoes, canned
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup carrots, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup celery stalks cut diagonally in thin slices
- 1/2 cup green bell pepper, coarsely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon sage, crushed
- 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
How To Make hearty vegetable soup

Step 1Combine all ingredients in a 3 to 4 quart pot; bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve bouillon cubes.

Step 2Cover and simmer gently for 1 hour; stir occasionally to break up tomatoes into bite-sized pieces.
