Ingredients
- 1/4 cup ¼ cup butter or margarine
- 1 large thinly sliced onion
- 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 2 medium potatoes cubed about 1/2" in size
- 4 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 1/2 cups honey ham (cubed)
How To Make hearty potato & ham chowder

Step 1In a 3-quart saucepan melt butter. Stir in onion; cook over medium heat until tender (4-5 mins.). Stir in flour until smooth and bubbly. Stir in potatoes, milk, salt and pepper. Cover and continue cooking, stirring occasionally until potatoes are fork tender (about 25-30 mins.) Stir in cheese and ham. Continue cooking and stirring occasionally until cheese is melted and ham is heated through (about 2-3 mins.) Serve and enjoy!!!!
