ham with vegetable's soup

My husband and I stopped at a little Mom & Pop's restaurant, recently, in Forest, FL and they had this soup. It was so good that I came home and made my rendition of it. I like it, and I hope you do, too.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces country ham, cut into half inch cubes
  • 6 cups water
  • 6 - chicken boullion cubes
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 3 medium size potatoes, peeled & diced (i rinse mine twice until the water runs clear)
  • 4 ounces frozen spinach
  • 1 cup white frozen corn
  • 2 or 3 dashes garlic powder
  • 3 or 4 dashes dried celery flakes
  • - salt and pepper to taste

How To Make ham with vegetable's soup

  • Step 1
    In a medium size saucepan pour in water. Add 6 chicken boullion cubes. Bring to a boil and lower heat. Add all the rest of the ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes. Of course you can add whatever vegetables you like. These are what I had on hand. I like a few croutons on mine, my husband likes (as he calls them) soda crackers. It turned out great. Enjoy!
