I made this last night for the first time....it became an instant favorite with the whole family. I actually made French Onion Soup from the remaining onions on the bottom of the roasting pan. Multiple meals made and very simple!
1Make a bed of sliced onions in foil roaster pan. Place bratwurst on top. Rinse potatoes and put them on top of onion and bratwurst. Add the stick of butter.
2Place on hot grill, add beer. Cook for 30 to 40 minutes. Enjoy!
3French Onion Soup: Place remaining cooked onions into a large sauce pan. Add 4 to 6 Cups water and add 5-7 teaspoon beef bullion and a couple of bay leaves....cook on low for 30 minutes. Serve or freeze for later.
