Ingredients
- 4 - onions, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3 cups beef stock
- 1 cup dry white wine
- 1/4 cup dry sherry
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 - minced garlic clove
- 6 slices french bread
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
How To Make french onion soup (crock pot)

Step 1Using a large frying pan, slowly saute the onions in butter until limp and glazed.

Step 2Transfer to crockpot.

Step 3Add beef stock, white wine, sherry, worcestershire and garlic.

Step 4Cover.

Step 5Cook on low (200) 6 to 8 hours.

Step 6Place buttered french bread on a baking sheet.

Step 7Sprinkle with cheese.

Step 8Place under preheated broiler until lightly toasted.

Step 9To serve, ladle soup into bowl.

Step 10Float a slice of toasted french bread on top.
