600 gonion, cut in thin slices

40 gbutter, unsalted, cut in pieces

120 gred wine

30 gcognac

1 Tbspflour

120 gchicken broth

1 pinchsalt

1baguette, cut in slices

40 ggruyere cheese, cut in slices

0.5 tspdried basil leaves
How To Make french onion soup

1Place onion and butter into mixing bowl.

2Cook 10 mins/140°C/speed 2.5. Transfer into the bowl.

3Add red wine and cognac into mixing bowl.

4Without measuring cup, cook 8 mins/120°C/speed 2.5.

5Add flour, chicken broth and salt into mixing bowl.

6Without measuring cup, cook 30 mins/110°C/speed 2.

7Preheat the oven to 200°C. Pour the soup into 4 ceramic soup bowl.

8Place bagutte slices and gruyere cheese on the top of the soup. Toast in the oven (200°C) for 25-30 mins.

9Sprinkle the black pepper and dried basil leaves and serve hot.
