shiitake mushrooms thinly sliced
8 oz
can bamboo shoots drained and cut into matchsticks
8 oz
soft tofu cut into pieces
4 clove
garlic minced
1 Tbsp
ginger minced
2 Tbsp
balsamic vinegar
3 Tbsp
rice vinegar
1 Tbsp
sambal oelek or sriracha sauce
3 Tbsp
soy sauce
2 Tbsp
brown sugar
2 Tbsp
cornstarch mixed with 3 tbsp water
2 large
eggs beaten
2 tsp
white pepper
green onions sliced
1/4 c
cilantro chopped

How to Make Fast and Easy Hot and Sour Soup


  • 1Bring the first 11 ingredients to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to a simmer and simmer 5 minutes. Add the cornstarch mixed with water and let soup thicken a bit.
  • 2Slowly pour in the eggs in a slow stream while stirring the soup. Stir in the white pepper, green onions and cilantro. Serve
