curried pea soup
This is another recipe from the May 13, 1980 Woman's Day, "The Collector's Cookbook" that I found in my mother's recipe drawer. It sounds wonderful to me!!

Ingredients
- 1 package 10 oz frozen green peas, thawed
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 small onion, cut up
- 1 clove garlic, halved
- 2 - 3 teaspoons curry powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard (or 1 tsp prepared)
- 2 cups chicken broth, divided
- to taste - salt and pepper
How To Make curried pea soup

Step 1In a blender or food processor whirl peas, onion, garlic, curry powder, mustard, 1/2 cup broth, salt and pepper until smooth.

Step 2In saucepan combine puree with remaining 1 1/2 cups broth and the butter.

Step 3Simmer 10 to 15 minutes to heat through and blend flavors. Makes 4 servings.
