crockpot french onion soup

I've posted this recipe as originally written. Most of the time I prepare this soup on the stove top. Quicker that way. I also like a combination of butter and olive oil to brown the onions instead of all butter. This is a really tasty soup.

Ingredients
- 3 - large onions, sliced (3 cups)
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted (see comment above)
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 4 cans (14 1/2 oz each) beef broth
How To Make crockpot french onion soup

Step 1Mix onions and butter in crock pot. Cover and cook on hight heat setting for 30 minutes or until onions begin to brown around the edges.

Step 2Mix flour, worcestshire sauce, sugar and pepper. Stir flour mixture and broth into onions. Cover and cook on low heat setting 7-9 hours (or high heat 3-4 hrs) or until onions are very tender.

Step 3Ladle in bowls and top with a slice of Cheesy Broiled French bread (posted separately)
