creamy potato kielbasa monterey soup

I made this last night and it was a big hit, it was so cream and very flavorful....Just something I dreamt up and it was so good....I don't have a picture though my camera battery was dead and didn't dig out my cell phone camera....Will put a picture of it up next time I make it...

Ingredients

  • 3 large baking potatoes (not peeled)
  • 3/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, ground
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper, ground
  • 1 large cream of chicken soup (family size)
  • 1/2 cup sourcream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups monterey jack cheese
  • 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
  • 1 - smoke kielbasa (sliced thin)
  • ADD WATER AS NEEDED WHILE BAKING

How To Make creamy potato kielbasa monterey soup

  • Step 1
    Oven 400* Bake potatoes in Microwave and cut into small chunks, chop onion set all aside.....
  • Step 2
    In a Dutch Oven, place Cream of Chicken, Sour cream, Milk, Water into pan and stir well to get any lumps out
  • Step 3
    Stir in all spices, stir in potatoes, kielbasa and onions mix well....Stir in 1 Cup of Cheese, mix well...sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top...
  • Step 4
    Place lid on top and put dutch oven in to the oven and bake for 45 minutes....checking on it every 15 minutes and stir....You may have to add a little more water to it if you feel the need....after the 45 minutes then remove the lid for another 15 minutes...
  • Step 5
    The top will brown slightly, serve hot.....
