Ingredients
- FOR CREAM OF TOMATO SOUP, SAUTE THE FOLLOWING
- 2 TBS - margarine or butter
- 2 TBS - onion, chopped
- BLEND IN;
- 3 Tbs - flour
- 2 tsp - sugar
- 1 tsp - salt
- 1/2 tsp - pepper
- dash - of garlic salt, basil. oregano, & thyme
- REMOVE FROM HEAT, GRADUALLY STIR IN;
- 2 C - tomato juice or v-8 juice
- BRING TO BOIL, 1 MINUTE. STIR CONSTANTLY
- STIR HOT TOMATO MIXTURE INTO
- 2 C - cold milk
- HEAT ALMOST TO BOILING STAGE, AND SERVE

Step 1DO NOT BOIL AFTER ADDING MIXTURE TO MILK. follow directions above exactly. This is a very good winters soup. variations: add leftover cooked rice, for tomato Rice soup. Add macroni noodles cooked, for Tomato Macroni soup Add; burger to the tomato macroni, above for Beefy Tomato-mac soup.
