Ingredients

- 6 ounces butter
- 6 ounces flour
- 1 1/2 tablespoons salt
- 1 tablespoon pepper
- 2 quarts milk
- 1 pound frozen, chopped spinach
- 2 tablespoons chicken base
- 1 pinch - nutmeg
- 2 quarts heavy cream
How To Make cream of spinach soup

Step 1Saute the onion in butter until tender, and add flour. Cook about 2 minutes.

Step 2Add the milk, white pepper, and salt. Bring to a simmer.

Step 3Add the spinach and cook.
