came across this one time and thought it sounded wonderful..it was,enough so that in the tea room where i once was employed we served it as part of a special tea we were having.

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons oleo
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 pound carrots,shredded
- 1 pound potatoes,shredded
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 - bay leaf
- 1/8 teaspoon tabasco
- 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 11/2 cups milk
- 1-2 cup shredded cheddar
- - parsley,salt and pepper
How To Make cream of carrot-cheddar soup

Step 1saute onions in oleo.

Step 2add and simmer til vegs are tender: carrots,potatoes,chicken broth,thyme,bay leaf,tabasco.w/sauce,sugar and salt and pepper to taste.

Step 3add,stirring til cheese is melted the milk and cheese.

Step 4discard bay leaf and sprinkle with parsley
