1/2 lb
1/2 c
onion, minced
1/2 c
1 gal
1 tsp
thyme, ground
1 tsp
white pepper
1/2 tsp
chicken base diluted with 1/4 cup water
1 qt
heavy cream

How to Make Cream of Asparagus Soup


  • 1Using a very large heavy pot, melt the butter, saute the onion, and add flour to make the roux.
  • 2Add the rest of the ingredients, except for the cream. Bring to a near simmer.
  • 3Add the cream, bring to a simmer until fully cooked.
