this is one of the recipe i came up with yrs ago to put in my cookbook i'm writin called all bout soups... it might sound weird but taste great

Ingredients

  • 6-8 large ears on corn,grilled and corn removed from cob
  • 1/2 pound extra smokey bacon
  • 1/2 pound cubed smokey ham
  • 1 small sweet onion,chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 medium red bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 medium potatoes,chopped
  • 1/2 pound fresh bottom mushrooms,sliced
  • 1 medium carrot,grated
  • - handful fresh baby spinach leaves,chopped
  • 2 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 - bay leaves
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1 bunch fresh parsley,chopped
  • 1 tablespoon soul seasoning
  • 1 pinch seasoned salt
  • - several grinds fresh ground black pepper[to taste]

How To Make corn soup

  • Step 1
    have corn ready to use.... in lg fry pan put bacon that u have cut into 1/4-1/2 in pieces fry til crisp add ham cook til it is lightly browned now add all veggie except mushrooms, corn and spinach,cook til soft,then add mushrooms cook til they tender[bout 5 more min]
  • Step 2
    while veggies cook in med sauce pan heat cream,milk and all spices jus to boil turn down as low as u can [do not want it to seperate] cook several min [smell will tell ya when to turn off u will smell all the heated spices]
  • Step 3
    once veggies cooked add milk mix to it then add corn and spinach cook til spinach wilts try a spoonful does it need more salt or pepper if so add now
  • Step 4
    laddle into soup bowls serve with crackers or this is really good with garlic coutans
