This is my favorite soup and when my mother would ask me what I meal I would like for my birthday meal I would always ask her to make me this soup.

  • 1 lb
    yellow split peas
  • 1 lb
    grated carrots
  • 1 large
    yellow onion, diced
  • 1/2 c
  • 8 c
  • 2 can(s)
    creamed style corn
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Corn Chowder


  1. In a large pot cook split peas in 7 cups of water until
    peas are soft.
  2. Add carrots,onion,salt and pepper.Cook until veggies are tender.
  3. In a small pot add a cup of water and the cashews. Bring to a boil. Then pour hot cashew mixture into a blender and liquefy.
  4. Add to split peas along with cream corn.
  5. Simmer until flavors blend, stirring often.
  6. Serve with your favorite crackers or bread.
