This is my favorite soup and when my mother would ask me what I meal I would like for my birthday meal I would always ask her to make me this soup.

Ingredients
- 1 pound yellow split peas
- 1 pound grated carrots
- 1 large yellow onion, diced
- 1/2 cup cashew,unsalted
- 8 cups water
- 2 cans creamed style corn
- - salt and pepper to taste
How To Make corn chowder

Step 1In a large pot cook split peas in 7 cups of water until peas are soft.

Step 2Add carrots,onion,salt and pepper.Cook until veggies are tender.

Step 3In a small pot add a cup of water and the cashews. Bring to a boil. Then pour hot cashew mixture into a blender and liquefy.

Step 4Add to split peas along with cream corn.

Step 5Simmer until flavors blend, stirring often.

Step 6Serve with your favorite crackers or bread.
