corn chowder
This is another recipe from my sister-in-law Marie, and we have been making it for years. It is so easy and just delicious! The bacon fat gives it a great flavor.

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons bacon fat
- 2 large potatos, diced
- 2 cans cream style corn
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 can evaporated milk-or enough to equal 2 cups
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 dashes pepper
- 3 tablespoons parsley flakes
- 1 - medium onion--chopped
How To Make corn chowder

Step 1saute onion in bacon fat for 3-5 minutes

Step 2add to this, 2 cups of whole milk, 2 cups of evaporated milk, 2 cans of creamed corn, salt, pepper and parsley flakes. I use 1 can of evaporated milk which is almost 2 cups, and I pour whole milk to make it two cups.

Step 3cook potatos separately for about 10 minutes

Step 4drain and add to chowder

Step 5simmer til ready to eat
