I found this recipe when we lived at Fort Hood Texas. One of the ladies I worked with gave it to me and I applied my own taste to it.

Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, cubed
  • 1 medium onions, cubed
  • 3 tablespoons margarine
  • - enough water to cover ingredients
  • 1 pound velvetta cheese
  • - jalepeno peppers to taste

How To Make cheese potato soup

  • Step 1
    Melt margarine in soup pan.
  • Step 2
    Add cubed onion and saute
  • Step 3
    Add cubed potatoes
  • Step 4
    Add enough water to cover potatoes
  • Step 5
    Cook about 20 minutes or until potatoes are done.
  • Step 6
    Add cheese and peppers. When cheese has melted cook until thickness desired is reached.
