bacon and onion together.....yummo!!!!this is so quick and easy and good........we had this when i was a kid but we had to go out in the woods and find the leeks......

Ingredients For bacon and leek soup

1 lbbacon,chopped,cooked crisp,save grease

6 csliced leeks,white and green parts

2 qtwater

2 Tbspjarred garlic,minced

salt and pepper,to taste
How To Make bacon and leek soup

1cut bacon and cook it in lg stock pot..when cooked remove from pan add leeks a few at a time stir well to coat with grease, as the cook down add more leeks til all cooked add water and garlic heat jus to boil turn temp down simmer bout 20 more min add bacon and check for needin more salt and pepper this is great with a grilled cheese sandwich usin garlic bread
