all day long potato soup

I like to put this soup on the night before I want to serve it. I put everything in the crock pot except the milk and potato flakes. i cook it all night on low. The next morning I add the remaining ingredients. It is perfect for an early lunch.

- 1 pound potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 - yellow onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup butter, cold
- 32 ounces chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon parsley leaves
- 1 cup water
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 1/4 cup instant potato flakes, mixed with the milk
How To Make all day long potato soup

Step 1Place the first six ingredients in the crockpot and cook all day on low.

Step 2At one half hour before serving; add milk and potato flakes mixture.

Step 3After the soup starts to thicken, it is ready to serve.
