Ingredients

  • 4 medium potatoes, skins on
  • 1 - bag frozen mashed potatoes (prefer safeway brand)
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 2 sprigs stalks of celery including leaves, chopped
  • 4 tablespoons butter (not margarine)
  • 2 teaspoons celery salt
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups chopped cooked turkey, prefer dark meat, good use for leftovers
  • 3-4 cups hot milk

How To Make turkey & potato soup

  • Step 1
    Cut potatoes into bite sized pieces, cook (microwave or boil) until soft but not falling apart.
  • Step 2
    Prepare mashed potatoes according to directions.
  • Step 3
    In large pot, saute onion & celery in butter.
  • Step 4
    Add seasonings, turkey, and chopped potatoes, cook until heated through.
  • Step 5
    Stir in mashed potatoes and add milk to desired thickness. Heat through & serve.
