Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 12 ounces corn, canned
  • 1 large potato, peeled and diced
  • 16 ounces tomatoes, canned
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 3 cups water, boiling
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk

How To Make turkey corn chowder

  • Step 1
    Saute onion in oil in a large kettle until transparent; push to one side.
  • Step 2
    Add ground turkey and cook, stirring, until lightly browned.
  • Step 3
    Add remaining ingredients, except canned milk; stir well.
  • Step 4
    Cover and bring just to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 30 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
  • Step 5
    Just before serving, remove from heat and slowly stir in canned milk.
