I made this soup for lunch today and if I do say so myself, it's pretty darn good! I like spicy foods and for me this soup is just right. Others may not want the can of chiles I used, whatever your taste-buds like. This is super simple and quick, great for when dinner needs to get on the table fast. I had mine with a nice dollop of sour cream and extra lime. My son enjoyed it and he's not a soup fan. Hope you try it and like it as much as I do!

Ingredients

  • 1 10 ounces can of original rotel tomatoes
  • 1 14.5 ounces can of petite diced tomatoes
  • 1 5.5 ounces can of tomato juice
  • 1 4.5 ounces can of chopped green chiles with juice
  • 14 ounces water
  • 1/4 cup minced onion
  • - juice of 1 lime
  • 2 - chicken bouillon cubes
  • 3/4 cup ditalini pasta, uncooked
  • 1/2 pound boar's head salsalito turkey, cubed

How To Make salsalito turkey soup

  • Step 1
    Put tomatoes, tomato juice, green chiles, water, onion, lime juice and bouillon cubes in a pot and boil 5 minutes or until bouillon cubes dissolve.
  • Step 2
    Add pasta and cook 10 minutes or until pasta is just tender.
  • Step 3
    Add chicken and let it heat through and serve.
