Ingredients

  • 1-14.5 oz. can refried beans, no fat
  • 1-14.5 oz. can chicken broth, low fat, low sodium
  • 1-10.5 oz. can creamy poblano & queso or fiesta nacho cheese soup
  • 1-15 oz. can white corn, drained
  • 1-14.5 oz. can chili beans, undrained
  • 1 cup medium salsa
  • 1/8 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/8 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

How To Make spicy bean soup

  • Step 1
    Stir refried beans and chicken broth together in a large saucepan. Stir until smooth.
  • Step 2
    Add remainder of ingredients. Stir to blend.
  • Step 3
    Simmer for 15 - 20 minutes. Serve with shredded cheese, sour cream or corn chips.
  • Step 4
    Adjust spiciness to taste by your choice of soup, salsa and amount of pepper.
