hill country potato soup
There is a big German population in Texas, especially in the Texas Hill Country. This is one of the recipes that I have from the Hill Country.

Ingredients
- 3 cups shredded, green cabbage
- 1 cup water
- 4 tablespoons chopped onion
- 1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 cans condensed cream of potato soup
- - white pepper, to taste
- 2 - soup cans of water
How To Make hill country potato soup

Step 1In a Dutch oven, cook cabbage, water, onion, and caraway seed in melted butter until tender, about 15 minutes.

Step 2Add soup and pepper. Pour into a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.

Step 3Return mixture to saucepan; gradually stir in milk. Heat and stir occasionally. Thin to desired consistency by adding milk.
