How to Make Don's Favorite French Onion Soup


  1. Mix first 3 ingredients and simmer for 20 minutes.
  2. Divide soup into 6 ovenproof bowls.
  3. Top each with a slice of toasted French bread and 1/2 ounce of cheese.
  4. Broil until cheese is melted.
