2beef bouillon, cubes
1/4 tspdried basil
How to Make Homemade Tomato Bisque (soup)
- Combine first 6 ingredients in large pan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer, uncovered for 30 min.
- In another medium pan melt butter and add the flour, blend and cook over medium heat. Stir constantly. Cook until bubbly. Add 4 cups of milk and bring to a simmer stirring constantly. Cook for 2 minutes then add to tomato mixture and blend and heat through. If you prefer this thinner, you could add more milk or a little half & half.
- Serve with grilled cheese sandwiches or crackers. The consistence of this soup is so satisfying and filling.
