unsalted butter
1 c
all purpose flour
8 c
whole milk
5 large
potatos, baked
2 lb
bacon, cooked and crumbled
3 c
cheddar cheese, shredded
2 c
sour cream
1 bunch
green onions, thinly sliced
1 Tbsp
kosher or sea salt
1 Tbsp
ground black pepper
1 clove
3 1/4 c
grated parmesan cheese

How to Make Baked Potato Soup


  • 1Ensure potatoes have already been baked, cubed and skin removed
  • 2Melt butter in large pot over medium/high heat. Add Flour and whisk to combine until thickened.
  • 3Whisking continuously, slowly pour in the milk and whisk until mixture is smooth.
  • 4Add all remaining ingredients and lower heat to medium. Stir until cheese is melted and soup is warm enough to serve.
  • 5Top bowls of soup with a few shreds of cheese, bacon bits and green onion.
