    heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt and pepper
  • 1 large
    onion diced
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 2 c
    chicken broth
  • 1 lb
    velveeta cheese cubed
  • ·
    fresh shredded parmesan cheese for topping

How to Make Outback Steakhouse Aussie Walkabout Soup


  1. Place 3 tbsp. butter in large saucepan. Add the flour and make a roux. Stir in heavy cream and salt and bring to a boil reduce heat and thickened. Remove from heat and set aside.
  2. Place 2 tbsp. butter in Dutch oven. Add onions and saute until softened. Stir in chicken broth. Add the cream mixture and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and add the Velveeta. Cook until the Velveeta is melted.
  3. Serve topped with shredded parm or any cheese of your choosing.
