    vegetable oil
  • 2
    carrots, chopped
  • 4
    celery stalks, chopped
  • 2
    onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp
    dried tarragon
  • 3
    potatoes, boiled and smashed
  • 8 oz
    smoked salmon, crumbled
  • 2 qt
    fish stock
  • 2 qt
  • 1 Tbsp
    black pepper

How to Make Smoked Salmon Chowder


  1. Heat oil in stock pot on medium. Add chopped vegetables and saute until onions are translucent.
  2. Add tarragon and fish stock to deglaze pan.
  3. Stir in smashed potatoes and smoked salmon. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Add milk and pepper and cook until heated through.
