Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 - carrots, chopped
  • 4 - celery stalks, chopped
  • 2 - onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried tarragon
  • 3 - potatoes, boiled and smashed
  • 8 ounces smoked salmon, crumbled
  • 2 quarts fish stock
  • 2 quarts milk
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper

How To Make smoked salmon chowder

  • Step 1
    Heat oil in stock pot on medium. Add chopped vegetables and saute until onions are translucent.
  • Step 2
    Add tarragon and fish stock to deglaze pan.
  • Step 3
    Stir in smashed potatoes and smoked salmon. Bring to a simmer.
  • Step 4
    Add milk and pepper and cook until heated through.
