Quick and simple, my "go to" recipe when oysters are in season

Ingredients

2 slice
bacon
2 medium
onions chopped
2 stalk(s)
celery diced
6 small
potatoes sliced
1 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
pepper
1 pt
milk
1 pt
cream
2 Tbsp
butter
1 Tbsp
flour
1 pt
oysters
boiling water

Step-By-Step

1Cook bacon in a pot. Remove bacon and crumble
2Add onions, celery, potatoes and seasonings to bacon fat. Cover with boiling water. Cook until almost tender.
3Add milk and cream. Bring to a boil.
4In a cup blend butter and flour. Add to chowder.
5Add oysters and cook until oysters begin to curl
6Garnish with crumbled bacon
