glottucks (corn and kelp chowder)

From Wikibooks. I used this flat dried seaweed stuff you can buy at Costco.

Ingredients
- 1 quart fresh corn kernals
- 1/2 cup dried sea kelp
- 2 cups milk or cream
- 2 cups water
- 1 - bell pepper, red or green, chopped
- 1 tablespoon butter
- - salt and pepper to taste
How To Make glottucks (corn and kelp chowder)

Step 1Saute kelp in butter until it begins to melt. Add remaining ingredients and heat on low, covered, for 30-40 minutes, until soft.

Step 2Remove cover and cook on low until thickened to the right consistency.
