You can leave out the jalapeno peppers if you have kids at home. I like to serve with Cheddar, sour cream, and Frito chips on top. If you have some chopped cilantro, sprinkle on top and WOW, you have a winner!

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 - green bell pepper, chopped
  • 3 stalks celery
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 21/2 pounds ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 large 28 oz. can chopped tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 - bay leaf
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 4 tablespoons cumin
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
  • 2 - beef bullion cubes, crushed
  • 2 cans chili beans
  • 1 - jalapeno pepper, minced
  • 1 can water
  • 1 teaspoon oyster sauce

How To Make the chili chix winning recipe

  • Step 1
    Brown onion, pepper, garlic, celery and meat in pan and drain. Transfer to Dutch oven.
  • Step 2
    Add spices, garlic and Worcestershire. Add remaining ingredients and cook on low heat 3 hours or overnight in crock pot.
  • Step 3
    Note: if you do not have a jalapeño pepper, you can add a can of rotelle tomatoes with green chilies.
