Another hit with my family! A nice thick, hearty chili. A great meal for all the cold days everyone's been experiencing. Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 1 - 2 tablespoons bacon fat for browning meat - oil if you don't have
- 1/2 pound each - sausage & ground beef - more if you like it meatier
- 1 small chopped onion
- 1/2 cup each - chopped, red bell pepper - chopped green bell pepper
- 2 tablespoons flour & chili powder
- 2 1/2 tablespoons minced, dried garlic flakes
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon each - cayenne, salt, crushed red pepper & sugar
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 - 15 ounces cans of each - dark red kidney beans ( rinsed ) - pinto beans( rinsed ) - chili beans
- 1 - 28 ounces can - plum tomatoes and juice - chopped
- 1 - 15 ounces tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup each - strong black coffee & water
- condiments - to serve with - sour cream, shredded cheese, green onion

Step 1In a dutch oven, brown onion, peppers, sausage and ground beef in 1 - 2 tablespoon of bacon fat, until meat is no longer pink. Drain, and add back to pot.

Step 2Stir in the chopped tomatoes,tomato sauce, all spices, flour, Worcestershire sauce, beans, coffee and stir to combine. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 1 hour - stirring occasionally.

Step 3Taste and adjust seasonings if desired. It should be pretty thick, add 1/2 cup or more water to thin out if desired.

Step 4Ladle into bowls and add favorite condiments. As with any good chili, is even better the next day. Enjoy!
