My grandmother used to make this for us on a cold day, it sticks to your ribs and is also a great potluck item!

Slow Cooker Crock Pot

1 pkg
bacon, cooked
2 can(s)
baked beans
2 can(s)
kidney beans, canned
1 can(s)
black-eyed peas
1 can(s)
chick peas
1 bottle
barbecue sauce
1 Tbsp
yellow mustard
1-4 c
brown sugar

How to Make Grandma's Crockpot Beans


  • 1put baked beans into crockpot
  • 2drain the kidney, black beans and chick peas, add to crockpot
  • 3add whole bottle barbecue sauce (i prefer honey bbq sauce)
  • 4add mustard, stir
  • 5brown hamburger, drain and add to crockpot
  • 6cut bacon into chucks, cook and use a spatula to transfer to crockpot, a little grease adds to the flavor
  • 7add 1 to 2 cups brown sugar, after it cooks a bit you can add more for a sweeter taste.
  • 8Note: I cook this on low for 3-4 hours, if you leave the crockpot on high it can burn your beans
