Ingredients
- 1 pound hamburger
- 1 package bacon, cooked
- 2 cans baked beans
- 2 cans kidney beans, canned
- 1 can black-eyed peas
- 1 can chick peas
- 1 bottle barbecue sauce
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1-4 cup brown sugar
How To Make grandma's crockpot beans
-
Step 1put baked beans into crockpot
-
Step 2drain the kidney, black beans and chick peas, add to crockpot
-
Step 3add whole bottle barbecue sauce (i prefer honey bbq sauce)
-
Step 4add mustard, stir
-
Step 5brown hamburger, drain and add to crockpot
-
Step 6cut bacon into chucks, cook and use a spatula to transfer to crockpot, a little grease adds to the flavor
-
Step 7add 1 to 2 cups brown sugar, after it cooks a bit you can add more for a sweeter taste.
-
Step 8Note: I cook this on low for 3-4 hours, if you leave the crockpot on high it can burn your beans
