This is a super quick no frills chili that we love on a cold winter day. My family and friends have said it reminds them of Steak n Shake chili. I prefer it with ground turkey, but lean ground beef works too. We like to top ours with shredded cheddar cheese, chili cheese Fritos, and sour cream. It is also good with French's Fried Onions. I make this in a pressure cooker because it is fast, but I have made it on the stove top and a slow cooker as well.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey or beef
  • 3 cans chili beans in chili gravy (15.5oz)
  • 1 can diced tomatoes & green chilis (10oz)
  • 2 packages chili seasoning
  • 1 - white onion (chopped)
  • 1 1/2 cups water

How To Make easy chili

  • Step 1
    Chop the onion. Add onion and ground beef or turkey to your pot and mix well. Add tomatoes and a can of beans and mix.
  • Step 2
    Continue adding beans and mixing until you get a uniform mixture with a paste like consistency. Add the chili seasoning and water. Stir to mix thoroughly.
  • Step 3
    Cook the chili on high in the pressure cooker for 60 minutes. If cooking on the stove or in a slow cooker, cook on low heat for 4-6 hours. Serve with your favorite toppings.
