I like to make up my own chili recipes. So many variations. This one is a keeper!

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs - beer brats casing removed
  • 1 - large onion chopped
  • 1 med - green bell pepper chopped
  • 3 Tbls - chili powder
  • 1 28 oz ca - tomato puree
  • 1 28 oz - tomatoes, canned and chopped, with liquid
  • 1 can - condensed tomato soup
  • 1 sm can - tomato paste
  • 1 can - kidney beans with liq
  • 1 can - black beans rinsed
  • 1can - navy beans drained
  • 1 cup - water

How To Make beer brat chili

  • Step 1
    Break up brats and cook in lrg fry pan until cooked through, drain grease
  • Step 2
    Add chopped onion and bell pepper (can add jalapeño pepper as well if desired) cook until soft
  • Step 3
    Add chili powder, salt, pepper as desired.
  • Step 4
    In large soup pot add all tomato products and water. Stir well to dissolve soup and tomato paste.
  • Step 5
    Add meat onion pepper mixture. Bring to a simmer then add beans.
  • Step 6
    Simmer for approx. 1/2 hr and enjoy with a loaf of crusty bread
