This is not your mama's chili, but a nice variation. The toppings you can use are endless...sour cream, cheese, salsa tortilla chips... make it yours.

Ingredients

  • 1 package (18 oz) refrigerated original barbecue sauce with shredded prok or chicken
  • 2 cans black beans, drained, rinsed
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 1 package taco seasoning mix
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

How To Make barbecue black bean chili recipe

  • Step 1
    In 4 1/2 quart Dutch over or 4 quart saucepan, mix chili ingredients. Heat to boiling over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Step 2
    High Altitude: Add 1/4 cup water to all chili ingredients. For more flavor and thicker chili, simmer longer.
