1 1/2 cwhole milk
1 cfrozen peas and carrots
1 ccut-up, cooked chicken
10 3/4 ozcondensed cream of chicken and mushroom soup
1 cbaking mix (like bisquick)
1/3 cwhole milk
·paprika (if desired)
How to Make Mom's Quick and Easy Chicken and Dumplings
- Heat 1 1/2 cups milk, the peas and carrots, chicken and soup to boiling in 3-quart saucepan.
- Stir Bisquick and 1/3 cup milk until soft dough forms. Drop dough by 8 spoonfuls onto chicken mixture; reduce heat to low.
- Cook uncovered 10 minutes. Cover and cook 10 minutes longer. Sprinkle with paprika.
- Makes 4 servings.
