olive oil
1 medium
onion diced
1 large
carrot thinly sliced.
5 clove
1/2 c
white wine
6 c
chicken broth
1 pkg
knorr's home-style chicken bouillon or 1 tbsp butter then bouillon chicken bouillon
1/2 c
1/2 large
lemon juice and zest
salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp
dried basil
1 Tbsp
fresh parsley minced
1 Tbsp
fresh tarragon chopped

How to Make Garlic lemon soup with orzo


  • 1Squeeze the lemon juice and the zest into a bowl and set aside.
  • 2In a large pot heat olive oil. Add the onions and garlic and saute until translucent. Add wine and deglaze the pan. Add carrots. cook until wine is almost all evaporated.
  • 3Add chicken broth and bouillon. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add orzo. Cook until orzo is tender.
  • 4Add basil, parsley, and tarragon. Add lemon juice and zest and cook 1 minute.
