Slow Cooker Crock Pot


  • 4
    chicken breast halves
  • 2 can(s)
    15 oz black beans
  • 2 can(s)
    15 oz mexican stewed tomatoes (or rotel)
  • 1 c
    salsa (medium)
  • 4 oz
    chopped green chilies
  • 14 1/2 oz
    tomato sauce
  • 1 bag(s)
    tortilla chips or tortilla shells
  • 2 c
    grated cheese

How to Make Chicken Tortilla Soup


  1. Combine all ingredients except chips and cheese in crock pot.
  2. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
  3. Just before serving remove chicken and slice into bite sized pieces. Stir back into soup.
  4. To serve, put a handful of chips or torn tortilla shells into bowl and ladle soup over top, and top with cheese.
