Chicken noodle soup sandwich

Irisa Raina 9

What to have on a rainy, misty wintery { not cold just yucky } kind of afternoon? How about combining the classic lunch of soup and a sandwich!

Anyone can do soup and a sandwich, but who can do a chicken noodle soup sandwich? Me me me me me I can….

If you can’t find the Veri Veri Teriyaki sauce just add soy sauce and some sesame seeds to the soup.

Stove Top

1 can progresso chicken noodle soup
1 pita pocket
1 tablespoon veri veri teriyaki sauce
¼ teaspoon ginger
1 green onion { cut fine using both white and some of the green }

1Slice the pita in ½ and put both half’s in a medium hot 325 oven and get them crispy. Turn off the oven and bring the pitas out of the oven and make a pocket in them. Put them back in the oven to keep warm.
2Drain the broth from the can of soup. Add the Teriyaki sauce and ginger and bring this to a rolling boil. Continue to boil this { you’ll have to stir this often } till you have about 2 two 3 tablespoons left.
3Add the noodles and stuff from the can of soup and turn the heat to a very low setting. Cook this just long enough to get the chicken and vegetables hot.
5Put the hot soup { noodles and stuff } in the pita and get some of the gravy like broth in it too!
6Top off the magical sandwich with the green onions.
