Ingredients
- 2 1/2 - 3 pounds bone-in chicken pieces
- 2 - celery stalks, with leaves, cut into chunks
- 2 - medium carrots, cut into chunks
- 2 - medium onions, cut into chunks
- 2 - bay leaves
- 2 - chicken bouillon packets
- 1 teaspoon chicken seasoning
- 1 teaspoon parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
- 2 quarts cold water
How To Make chicken broth

Step 1Place all ingredients in a large pot. Slowly bring to a boil, reduce heat, and skim off any foam.

Step 2Cover and simmer for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

Step 3Remove chicken and set aside.

Step 4Strain broth, discard vegetables and seasonings, strain again. Refrigerate to allow fat to rise and harden. Skim fat from surface before using.

Step 5Remove meat from bones and save for another use, if desired.
