Also known as YaKa Mein. A Chinese African dish known for its healing properties for a hangover. Served mostly in New Orleans by a lot of street vendors and Chinese restaurants. I don't need a hangover to eat this soup it's delicious

Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 pounds beef roast your choice
  • 4-6 quarts water
  • 2 tablespoons beef base like better than boullion
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 2 teaspoons old bay seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 1 pound spaghetti cooked in salted water and drained
  • 8 large eggs hard boiled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley
  • - soy sauce, worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, ketchup

How To Make old sober

  • Step 1
    Fill a stockpot with water and add the beef bouillon, salt, old bay, onion powder and canola oil. Add the roast and make sure the water totally covers the roast. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer and simmer 2 to 3 hours until meat falls apart. Adding more liquid if needed.
  • Step 2
    Remove beef from broth and shred it then add back to broth.
  • Step 3
    To assemble the soup place spaghetti in bowl ladle soup over top. top with eggs and parsley. Add extra ingredients according to taste
